Are your trainers qualified and experienced?
All our trainers are highly experienced and fully-qualified. They have an average of 5 years teaching experience in Turkey enabling them to deal with the language problems of Turkish students
What nationality are your trainers ?
All our trainers are native speakers of English. The majority are UK citizens with the other from various English speaking nations such as USA, Canada and Australia.
Do your trainers speak Turkish ?
All have a basic working knowledge of Turkish. Some are fluent or even near-native standard speakers.
Where do you give lessons ? Do you have your own facilities ?
We have no classroom facilities of our own. All are training programmes take place on the clients’ premises.
Do you provide any services outside Istanbul ?
Yes, we began delivering all of our Istanbul services to Ankara, as of September 2006, and to Izmir, as of January 2007.
What teaching methods and materials do you use ?
We choose the methods and the materials to suit the student and the aims of the programme rather than sticking to a rigid system.
Do you teach groups or one-to-one lessons?
Both. In the case of group lessons it is essential for the students to be of the same level.
Do you have any connections with an educational institution abroad?
We are official agents of the Bell School, one of the best English language schools in the UK.
How long does it take to complete one level?
Estimating rates of progress depends on many different factors such as the intensity of the programme, the level of the student and the number of participants. We usually set targets at the start of a programme and review them regularly
How many hours of language training should I take per week?
This depends on many factors and varies from person to person. Free time and the urgency of the person’s need to learner are vital factors to be taken into consideration. Too many hours is often as counterproductive as having too few.
Do you level test learners before the start of a training programme?
Yes, we do. If the number of participants is small and the aim of the programme is the development of oral skills then we prefer to interview each person. In getting to know the participants we are also better able to choose the most suitable trainer.
Do I need to go to UK or America to learn English?
Certainly not, but spending a few weeks in an English speaking country can be a useful opportunity to put into practice all the things that you have learned.
How can I maintain my present level of English?
If you are satisfied with your present level but wish to maintain it then a weekly conversation lesson may well be just what you need.
Does ESP offer translating services?
Yes, we do; both from English to Turkish and Turkish to English. We also write and edit texts in both languages.
Our company needs a new website in English, can ESP help us?
Certainly can! We can work with you from the concept stage all the way to the end product. Advising on content, writing the text and translating it if necessary.
I just need some help getting together a new CV and preparing myself for an English Language job interview, can ESP help me?
We can help you prepare or update your CV and give you the essential training necessary for you to confidently deal with any interview question or technique that you may come up against.
Our company has recently broken into the international market, we need help with our English, with our stationary and with our marketing materials. Can ESP help us with all of these?
All the materials you need to market your company abroad can be created by ESP. Everything from brochures to standard letters and advertising copy.
Do you offer special needs training programmes such as presentation or telephone skills?
Yes, we do. Our ESP programmes are designed to help people with intermediate or higher level of English deal more effectively in work related skills areas.
